In Avesta municipality's care administration, there are IFO, LSS operations, social psychiatry, health and medical care, home care, and special accommodations. Our common starting point is that all people have the same value and are unique. About 900 employees work around the clock to promote a safe and independent life for our target groups.

We are now looking for a business strategist who wants to help develop our operations towards the future of care.

About the role

As a business strategist, you are responsible for planning, leading, and conducting investigations initiated by civil servant and/or political leadership. In collaboration with the management team of the administration and other parts of the organization, you conduct investigations that form the basis for proposing and supporting development efforts. Your tasks include supporting the operations in business development, process mapping, and project work.

• Responding to citizen proposals, referrals, and motions.
• Collecting, analyzing, and using statistics as a tool for your investigations.
• Initiating proposals for new working methods and approaches that promote quality and innovation.
• Participating in overarching projects related to the goals of the Care Administration.
• Driving and coordinating the work of implementing a digital quality management system as well as crisis and preparedness work.

As a business strategist, you will be part of the administration's management team and will also collaborate with central support functions such as HR, communication, quality and development, as well as project managers and unit managers within Avesta municipality.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic degree, for example in social sciences, law, social work, or other education that we consider equivalent and relevant for the position. Previous experience in any of the care administration's areas of operation is an advantage. You have a genuine interest in society and are driven to make a difference for the residents, especially in the areas of social services, care, and municipal health care.

It is important that you have good knowledge of investigation methodology and are comfortable with all steps of the process. In this role, you need to have very good analytical skills and be accustomed to using statistics as a tool to understand the organization, identify needs, and formulate improvement proposals. Digital solutions come naturally to you, and you find it easy to learn new programs and systems.

You are a good communicator, both verbally and in writing, and you can present complex information clearly and engagingly. You thrive when working with change and see opportunities in new ideas, methods, and ways of working. In this role, you need to be self-driven and proactive, thus moving work processes forward. Your ability to plan and structure facilitates not only your own work but also creates clarity for your partners. Since you will be working across the municipality on certain issues, it is important that you take initiative and build strong collaboration with the parties involved in the assignment. A responsive attitude and good collaboration skills are essential for success.

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience from politically governed organizations.
• Knowledge of legislation such as the Local Government Act, the Administrative Procedure Act, and the Social Services Act.
• Knowledge in project management and process mapping.
• Good language skills in both Swedish and English.
